Sickle Cell is a painful and devastating disease that affects not only those living with the disease but families and communities. There is no universal cure. The Donna T Darrien Memorial Foundation for Sickle Cell, Inc. through its community outreach and education programs keeps the general public aware of the disease and provides support, encouragement, and resources to our families. Through its Scholarship Program awards to those who in spite of the challenges and struggles, courageously seek higher education and through its monetary donations to research contributes to establishing new standards and finding a cure.
Funding for our programs and services is provided through the generosity of individuals and community organizations and all donations are tax-deductible. Please consider making a donation today! You can be assured that it will be appreciated and used to continue our mission, “to enhance the care and quality of life of those individuals with sickle cell anemia through collaboration, education, information, and support.”
Donations may be made online or by check and sent to our mailing address.
